Job Description
SUMMARY: Under general supervision of the Environmental Supervisor performs a variety of skilled technical duties and semi-skilled labor in the operation and maintenance of American Proteins Pretreatment Plant. Perform related duties as required. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: In addition to the minimum requirements and job duties listed for this position, the following are required: Duties require use of related equipment, i.e., lift truck, forklift, loader, and all light equipment necessary for the job. Will be required to lift 100 lbs on occasions. Must have vision to read printed materials and hearing and speech to communicate in person or over the telephone and mobile radios. DUTIES: (The following is used as a partial description and is not restrictive as to duties required.) Monitor the operation of pretreatment plant pumps, motors and other equipment; read gauges, dials and other instrumentation; maintain and update accurate logs of plant operations. Set up sampler and collect various samples for laboratory tests. Maintain all treatment facility buildings and ground, including weed control by mowing, herbicide application etc. Monitor, inspect and maintain wastewater collection pumps and lift stations throughout the complex and assist in corrective action. Load and unload various chemicals such as polymers, antifoam, etc.; connect chemicals to appropriate plant systems; mix various chemicals. Operate a variety of plant equipment including pumps, valves, motors, meters, and related plant equipment. Perform control tests to determine correct dosage of chemicals to the system; make necessary adjustments to maintain flow requirements; adjust DAF system to obtain maximum efficiency and treatment results. Inspect pretreatment plant equipment to locate needed repairs. Perform preventative maintenance and routine repairs as needed. Report all suspected problems Prepare maintenance requests. Monitor and inspect lift truck. Perform moderately heavy manual labor and must have the ability to lift 100 pounds. Perform related duties as assigned. ADDITIONAL DUTIES: Monitor the operation of the biogas system compressor pumps, motors and other equipment; read gauges, dials and other instrumentation; maintain and update accurate logs of biogas system. Inspect biogas system equipment to locate needed repairs; perform preventative maintenance and routine repairs as needed; report all suspected problems; prepare maintenance requests. Collect samples from each SPN tanker, following written SPN sampling procedures. QUALIFICATIONS: Ability to pass required pre-employment and random drug screening. High school diploma or GED. LICENSE OR CERTIFICATE: State wastewater certification is not necessary, but all operators are encouraged to obtain a certificate. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Good knowledge of: Safe working practices. Operating principles of plant equipment such as valves, pumps and motors. Ability to: Learn to solve problems logically. Learn plant operations and procedures. Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing. Established and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work. Operate and maintain wastewater plant equipment. Take wastewater samples for laboratory tests. Diagnose operating problems and take effective courses of action. Make independent technical decisions to maintain proper treatment process. Keep records and maintain reports. Understand and carry out oral and written instructions. Train assigned staff as needed. THE POSITION: Employees must be willing to work overtime, shift work, weekends, flexible hours and holidays. Employees may be required to be on-call, may work under hazardous working conditions and in inclement weather. Employees in this position will have a ninety-day probationary period.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
